I’ve always been a science fiction nerd, but detective novels were my first love. When the two blend together well, I’m hooked. I’ve had the privilege of working for a game company where I got to flex my story telling muscles. Writing novels is an overlapping passion of mine where meticulous plots and rich characters are given breath and purpose. When I get to place these inside a science fiction universe, my hope is to draw in my readers and give them the same satisfaction I enjoy when writing.
I love Adams, but his Dirk Gently books get skipped too often. I find the main character’s situations and solutions infinitely fun.
The book is a classic and kept me reading while trying to figure out what exactly is going on, as there are so many hidden jokes. A re-read is most rewarding! I’ve never encountered so many science principles stuffed between the pages of a comedy.

Weird, disturbing events abound in this quaint Midwestern town where an ancient evil lurks behind the canned goods at the local Walmart, and–since they weren’t trying to kill me personally–many of them were hilarious. This is a fun, relatively light novel that involves the fate of all humankind, etc., etc. The overarching plot here is enjoyable enough, but the real appeal is taking a somewhat meandering trip through a fun universe and getting to know the characters within. Don’t get me wrong; the plot is more than just a joke, which happens occasionally in comedies. It has a satisfying payoff, and Scharlette has a character arc, but–at least for me–the waythe story is told is the real draw, not so much what the story itself is.

I’ve won more than a few awards and keep studying my craft. Makes me feel young. I love stories with action that make you think and are a little different and unique. Hi there, I’m Taylor a British writer who instead of seeking help for my severe anxiety, decided to get lost in magical fictional worlds through books, and later on my own writing. To be fair, it’s worked out pretty well for me considering I now get to share the strange and wonderful stories that pop in my head. I’m sure you guessed that my favourite genre is both Urban Fantasy/PNR, mainly because they are very similar to one another but also because they both blur the lines between reality and imagination. Also because of werewolves. And sometimes vampires.
Dannika Dark’s Crossbreed is just one of her many spin-off series but has quickly become my favourite. The relationship between Raven and Christian is slow-burn, with the books mainly focusing on Keystone, an organisation they are both apart of. In the first book Keystone, there is very little romance other than hints and teases, but when they do get together further in the series it’s intense and full of passion while still remaining true to the storyline. I find with many series that once a couple gets together their individuality disappears, but with the Crossbreed series you find Raven is still the main protagonist, and Christian only adds to her character arc. My interest in serial killers began when I was a teen watching horror movies with my mom. I learned all I could about them—even became a horror special-effects makeup artist.
