Shepherd's Code of Conduct
Shepherd is a community of readers celebrating books, authors, the magic of reading, and curiosity.
What is our community's code?
1. You must have a sense of humor to join Shepherd. We will conduct surprise inspections on Mondays and Saturdays to ensure it has not been lost.
2. Be kind, compassionate, and respectful. That doesn't mean you must become a marshmallow who agrees with everyone! Be a strong advocate for YOU and share what is going on in your crazy mind and passion-filled heart. It is a tricky balance to find; we don't expect perfection.
3. You agree to be challenged and will strive to handle it as gracefully as possible. The internet has given us an algorithmically delivered comfort blanket where we never escape our bubble. One of Shepherd's missions is to help you bump into things that will challenge and change you.
4. You agree that your religion is for you. It helps you navigate this wacky world and make sense of you. On Shepherd, you can talk about how it helps you but not proselytize. Religion should not be used as an excuse to get involved in other people's business (religion is a personal choice, not one you inflict on others).
More to come as the community develops...
