The depiction in this book is similar to what I have tried to illustrate in my book, where the demonic spirit hijacks the main character, and the center of the equilibrium could no longer hold. Drug abuse has now become one of the greatest banes of our society. The drugs take over the mind and life of the addict and those around him.   

Even the big book has come to appreciate the presence of God in his healing power. One of the chapters in my book is on drug abuse, and it will be an excellent read for everyone. 

The book's straight talk points for meditation on this topic are easy to follow and on point. Overcoming fear, anger, the need to go away for treatment, and resentment from loved ones can be challenging for anyone in recovery. Some struggle with their ability to internalize care; poor financial support or insurance carrier is proven obstacles to treatment.

Both books insist on Christ as the only powerful source of healing and insight.

Tim Chaddick also confronts the topic of Temptation in a very insightful and informative rendition, including some self-disclosure about his background. 

He discussed the "unlikely Role of Temptation in Who You Will become." 

This book seeks to help readers identify temptations in day-to-day living and to use the book as a launching pad for their understanding and soul-searching of how to prevent and treat this distracting but ever-present issue.  

Of course, Temptation is the obstacle that harbors the pathway to victory, freedom, and spiritual growth through Jesus. To help us solidify our faith. I recommend this to every Christian as it talks about Temptation and how to improve our confidence which is immensely necessary for salvation.  

This book comes out with a story about the consequences of Temptation in a close and personal way. Both books must bring the fear of the Lord into the denominator, so anyone at the top, any pastor or Priest, must plant his feet on a solid foundation: the rock of Jesus Christ.

The scandal of Bob Gray, the Pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church and the founder of the Trinity Baptist academy in Jacksonville, Florida, depicts how Satan is always hovering around to make God's anointed people fall like a bag of cement. These stories indicate why every Pastor or religious leader must be engaged, close to, or have access to pastoral and regular therapeutic counseling.

I’m a huge fantasy reader and don’t normally pick up something like this but the back of the book intrigued me. I’m so glad I read this one and that is why it made my list.

You guessed it. It’s about Adam and Eve but nothing like what you read in The Bible. This is a fantastical telling of an epic tale. Give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

In The Sinful Scot, Maddison Michaels combines mystery and romance, two of my favorite kinds of novels. Viewed from the outside, Constance Campbell has the perfect life. The truth is, her husband, the duke, keeps her prisoner in a living hell. When her husband turns up dead in her bed, she is framed for his murder. 

Dr. Alec McGuiness has always known his origins were too humble for the likes of Constance, but he has never stopped loving her, so when she turns to him for help, he has to save her. In my opinion, there is nothing so painful as loving someone who can never love you back. This one has all the feels.

I really enjoy inspirational books written as stories that use life events to portray messages.

It's an easy read coupled with a great story filled with powerful messages. What appeals to me is that the story is captivating and simple. I find in today’s world everything is over-complicated and drawn out.

Dan Millman captures you immediately and the messages are attainable for every normal person and understandable as well - isn’t that what a book should be about?

The first edition of this book is visually stunning, and I like it, first, for that reason—chakras need color and beauty and imagery and vitality, not black and white prose. They are, after all, the animation of the life force itself viewed through a prism. How that could possibly ever translate into just words on a page, I’ll never understand. Second, her practices are simple and exemplary with Archetypes, Altars, Physical Exercises, Crystals, Meditations, Daily Questions/Journaling, and Affirmations. They touch on all four aspects of each of us: Body, Heart, Mind, Spirit. Information about chakras is fine but useless. Working with your own chakra system is the entire point as far as I’m concerned.

The MacArthur Study Bible presents some of the clearest exposition I have seen. It is the first commentary I use when developing Bible studies or sermons. The commentary was written by John MacArthur and his students at the seminary. I have been using it for 15 years of pastoral ministry and even if I have disagreed with an interpretation, I could see why it was reached and what hermeneutic they used. There are also very helpful charts and maps. The book introductions are helpful, especially if you preach or teach verse by verse and begin at the beginning of a book. There are helpful chronologies of the patriarchs, judges, kings, and profits.

I appreciate that this may be quite random but I had to read it to obtain multiple references as the wider plot grew into that of the Gabriel Sect – when the original killer develops a ‘fan club’.

I certainly do not set out to offend anyone and welcome all faiths and alternate beliefs, but this I would say. If the Holy Bible were to be published today, given the huge doses of incest, sodomy, and extreme violence it contains, it would be considered - unsuitable for children.
