Why am I passionate about this?

I enjoy writing fiction. I’ve never been drawn to one genre in particular so because of this my novels seem to fluctuate depending on the mood I am in when writing. I like the flexibility that self-publishing allows—being able to write in whatever genre I want. To not be bound to one. So far, I have written romantic suspense, crime thriller, and fantasy—with the hopes of one day soon writing a good horror story! I always dreamed of writing about the things that I would never see or never do and the things that are just not possible, I think that’s what keeps it exciting for me.

The books I picked & why

Book cover of Splintered

Christina Casino Why did I love this book?

It’s written with so much detail that you can picture yourself being the main character.

It’s a different twist on Wonderland and I am a big fan of Lewis Carroll so anything having to do with Wonderland or Alice in Wonderland I enjoy reading. I love reading books where authors take a classic, put their own spin on it, and create something beautiful.

For me, this was one of those books that I couldn’t put down and I got so hooked that I ended up reading the whole series.

Splintered was a crazy ride. It was a whole new approach to Wonderland. It made me fall in love with two of the main characters and that’s a special kind of book when you fall in love with someone in the pages of a book. Splintered was an absolute page-turner—I didn’t want to put it down and risk not reading it—I never wanted it to end. I honestly wish I could live within the pages of Splintered.

If you have ever been fond of the board game Clue and you want to cozy up to a late-night mystery then this is the book for you. Jack the Ripper will have you questioning every character, breaking them down to try and look for clues! This novel was unlike anything I had ever read before. It was incredibly detailed and drew me in immediately but not only that, from reading it I learned things about different professions that I didn’t know a thing about which was intriguing to me. This book made me feel like I was actually alongside Audrey Rose running through the streets of London solving mysteries!
