What is this book about?

Thorne Manor has always been haunted…and it has always haunted Bronwyn Dale. After a family tragedy, the house was shuttered and Bronwyn was convinced that William existed only in her imagination. Now, twenty years later Bronwyn inherits Thorne Manor. And when she returns, William is waiting. William Thorne is no longer the boy she remembers. He’s a difficult and tempestuous man, his own life marred by tragedy and a scandal that…

What if I told you that there was an epic story about World War II that has not been told, involving the most unlikely group of heroes?
What if I told you there was a group of men on the front lines who didn't carry machine guns or drive tanks; a new kind of soldier, one charged with saving, not destroying.
From caves to castles in a thrilling race against time, these men risked their lives…

Book cover of The Last Descendant

What is my book about?

Readers’ Favorite Bronze Winner and IAN Book of the Year Award Finalist, The Last Descendant is an action-packed fantasy adventure, featuring a strong female heroine and her snarky carnivorous pixie sidekicks. Perfect for fans of Buffy meets D&D, with a side of clean romance, this is the first book in the complete Sanyare Chronicles series.

“...unexpected touches, such as an inversion of usual dark-and-light imagery…full of romantic and court intrigue, which results in a fun, light read overall.” ~ Kirkus Reviews

“...meet all kinds of fae, from the pixies, to gremlins, to fire elves, and more…If you enjoy forays into the realms of D & D, and the Forgotten Realms, á la Wiess/Hickman and RA Salvatore, you are sure to find this to your liking.” ~J. Aislynn d'Merricksson for Readers’ Favorite

A woman on the run. A mysterious magical heritage.

Attacked by assassins and framed for treason, Rie finds herself mired in an ancient battle between the elven realms. Facing certain death at the hands of an unmerciful high elf king, she has no choice but to forsake her oaths and flee his wrath.

Fighting to prove her innocence, she must cross into the enemy Shadow Realm. Her only allies are the fierce carnivorous pixies who travel by her side.

She’ll let nothing stop her. Not a living vampire who wants her for his own. Not a half-wolf, half-man mercenary. Not the sociopathic sword-maker and his army of blood-thirsty soldiers.

She'll even consort with the fire-wielding dark fae prince who holds her fate in his hands, if it means she finds the traitor in their midst.

Can Rie uncover the truth of her past before the high elf king takes her head?

If you like action-packed fantasy filled with mythological creatures, magic, and mayhem, you'll love this first book in the The Sanyare Chronicles.
