The book has an unexpected outcome, and even highlights some possible creationist vs evolutionist debate. Peretti keeps readers on the edge of their seats with his unconventional setting, characters, and outcomes while maintaining a Christian worldview. It is one of my all-time favorite books.

Based on my own experiences, choosing a fictional novel about Bigfoot is difficult because most writers portray the creature in the most bizarre way. However, Monster by Peretti is a rare example of an engaging story where Bigfoot is portrayed based on authentic and believable research. I thoroughly enjoyed the intricate web of mystery that was woven throughout the plot.
