Randi Samuelson-Brown ❤️ loved this book because...

This is a beautifully written book with a cast of characters who, while not totally lovable/likable, fit so deeply into the storyline and their harsh environment that they (and the book) is fabulous. The setting is a small town dying on the Montana plains - and the writing makes you FEEL it.

This is such a unique story line that I couldn't help but love it. The suffocating feeling is (although it sounds strange) a wonderful thing.

The Western Horse

By Randi Samuelson-Brown,

Book cover of The Western Horse

What is my book about?

Nothing embodies the spirit of the American West more than the horse. Wild horses, trained horses, and those at every stage in between evoke pride and passion while presenting an American image of freedom, strength and swiftness. The WESTERN HORSE celebrates the history and culture of the western horse, its ability to capture the popular imagination, and the means by which it has come to symbolize the American West. The mounted Plains tribes, cavalry, Pony Express, stock detectives, cowboys, horse thieves and iconic rodeos come into perspective.
