Book cover of The Magician's Daughter

Mary-Jean Harris ❤️ loved this book because...

This was such a wonderful book, charming and quaint, and with a world that completely drew me in.

It's enchanting magical system seemed to arise naturally from the earth, and Biddie was such a relatable and lovely character.

The audiobook was excellent as well, with perfect Irish accents and a great flow to the story.

My 2nd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of The Pillars of the Earth

Mary-Jean Harris ❤️ loved this book because...

This was an epic book, masterfully woven throughout time, and a pleasure to read. The characters were vivid and real, and although I very much disliked some of the more graphic scenes, I put up with them for the sake of the magnificent story and scope of the book.

Phillip and Aliana were my favourite characters, and I was completely drawn in to the drama.

My 3rd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Once Upon a Wardrobe

Mary-Jean Harris ❤️ loved this book because...

An absolutely beautiful book on so many levels.

It is a magical story about stories themselves and the role they play in our lives. The characters were brought to life and the writer captured the English scenes so well that you feel as though you were there.

While it isn't necessary to have read The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe before this, it would help readers appreciate the story more.
