Tiny Habits
Book description
Improving your life is much easier than you think. Whether it's losing weight, sleeping more, or restoring your work/life balance - the secret is to start small.
For years, we've been told that being more healthy and productive is a matter of willpower: that we should follow the latest fad…
Why read it?
3 authors picked Tiny Habits as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?
When I’m feeling overloaded with life it seems like making changes is impossible. Fogg’s amazing M-A-P strategy helped me lower the bar and make real progress on improving my personal health and ability to focus. I loved his real-life stories (especially about flossing) and simple approach to turning any routine into a habit.
From Jones' list on when you are struggling with too much to do.
BJ Fogg is one of the world’s leading experts on behavior change. If you pick up any book habits, you’ll likely find several references to his work. So, when he published his own book on the topic, I was very eager to read it. And it sure didn’t disappoint. I learned a ton from this book. But my biggest takeaway was that “tiny is mighty.” If you start with a super-simple habit, it will grow naturally over time.
From Patrik's list on how to develop self-discipline.
This is a very thorough book about creating and breaking habits. I strongly believe that small changes create waves of change and this book is masterful. If you fear change or if change feels so overwhelming, this is one of the best books on where to start and how to be successful in what you really want to do.
From Elizabeth's list on to implement and manage change.
