This is the tenth book I’ve read this month and I haven’t had a bad one yet, so either I’m really good at picking, or the standard of writing out there is improving all the time. I would give this book 9.5 out of 10. I couldn’t wait to get my day finished so that I could settle and read in the evenings. Can’t praise this highly enough.

If you have not heard of J. D. Barker, you are missing out on a lot of great stories. The Fourth Monkey is the first book in his 4MK series and is like riding a roller coaster without the safety strap on. You end up clinging to the handrail in a white-knuckled grip, hoping that you don't fall off. This book tells two stories that, at first, seem completely unconnected.
