Why read it?
1 author picked Long Range as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?
I love stand-up guys, and the main character, game warden Joe Picket, is drawn into a precarious situation, having to protect his friends and family from evil people and grizzlies alike.
I loved that he’s just an everyday guy, minding his own business and just doing his job, and is called upon to thwart criminals when he’d much rather be protecting elk herds in the mountains of Wyoming. Box’s writing is like listening to a story around the campfire. I stayed up past my bedtime, consistently wanting to keep reading until I fell asleep with the book on my chest.
From Michael's list on everyday people who refuse to be victims.
