Book cover of Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone

Helen Vivienne Fletcher ❤️ loved this book because...

I loved the humorous, conversational style of the narration. I also really liked the way the story combined the murder mystery plot, with writing advice and commentary on the "rules" of murder mystery novels.

My 2nd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Eleanor Jones is Not a Murderer

Helen Vivienne Fletcher ❤️ loved this book because...

I loved young adult mysteries, and this was a great example. I loved that Eleanor felt like a real teenager, despite the dramatic circumstances she found herself in. The friendships and relationships she built during the story were very cute.

My 3rd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of The Reluctant Coroner

Helen Vivienne Fletcher ❤️ loved this book because...

I loved the set up of this book. Suddenly finding yourself made coroner, because there is no one else impartial is an unlikely scenario, but the author made it feel believable. The main character isn't necessarily always likeable, but I felt for her, and I loved her sense of humour throughout the novel.
