Rachel Bowen Author Of Thin Lines

From my list on romance with a chaotic family and friend groups.

Why am I passionate about this?

I didnā€™t grow up with a close family, but I yearned for one. Which is why I gravitate towards books with a cast of characters who are family, or a found family. I also prefer romantic plots or subplots. Combining romance and amazing side characters that are close automatically hooks me. Thatā€™s why I always include these dynamics in the books I write. I write my books for my own entertainment and hope others who love romance with swoony leads and a fun cast of characters will find my book and enjoy it as much as I do.

Rachel Bowen Why did Rachel love this book?

The large family dynamic immediately pulled me into this story about family, love, and learning to let go of expectations.

As someone who wishes I had a large family, adores love, and needs help going with the flow, it was a perfect fit. The sibling camaraderie and bickering, and how they all talk in quick succession and sometimes over each other, gives a depth and reality to the interactions. I loved that part best.

By Morgan Matson,

Why should I read it?

1 author picked Save the Date as one of their favorite books, and they share why you should read it. This book is for kids age 13, 14, 15, and 16.

What is this book about?

From the author of Since You've Been Gone and The Unexpected Everything comes a dreamy story of summer romance and finding yourself, perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Sarah Dessen

Charlie Grant tries to keep her life as normal as possible. Hanging out with her best friend, pining for Jesse Foster - who she's loved since she was twelve - and generally flying under the radar as much as she can.

But sometimes normal is just another word for stuck, and this weekend that's all going to change. Not only will everyone be back home for her sister's wedding,ā€¦

From my list on reads according to your favorite Taylor Swift song.

Why am I passionate about this?

Iā€™m a Sci-Fi and Fantasy author who loves all things young adult! I always listen to Taylor Swift when I write, because I love how her songs are full of nostalgia, romance, humanity, and a lust for adventureā€”just like my books. If you couldnā€™t make it to the Eraā€™s tour, no fear, check out some of these books below!

H.J. Nelson Why did H.J. love this book?

If your favorite song is ā€œYou Belong With Meā€ try I Hate You, Fuller James, by Kelley Anne Blount.

Itā€™s very much the story of a nerdy awkward girl pining after the handsome jock, and is full of sweet moments. I love the similarities between it and 10 Things I Hate About You and the nods to other 90ā€™s rom coms.

Iā€™m a sucker for the enemies-to-lovers trope, and it was fun to watch a young female character fall in love but also learn to stand up for herself.
