When her sister calls her back to her hometown to help with a mysterious child who has wandered out of the woods. Is this really a wolf girl or just a poor lost child? When she fosters the little girl and spends the winter teaching her to talk is probably some of the most powerful writing I have read. So many emotions this writer evokes from these pages.
