Book cover of The Will of the Many

J.W. Kiefer ❤️ loved this book because...

I was completely surprised by this book. A protagonist who has rage issues and is struggling with a desire to either run, except his current life isn't so bad, or avengers his family. I was thoroughly enthralled and then it turned into an episode of the twilight zone. I was so shocked by the ending I wanted to strangle Islington because I had to wait to find out what happened. Dear Lord he is a master and an SOB for this book.

My 2nd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Tress of the Emerald Sea

J.W. Kiefer ❤️ loved this book because...

Well, what can I say, Sanderson never seems to disappoint. Everytime he gives us a strange world with interesting magical systems or mechanics that are so very original, as a fellow writer, I hate him and love him for it. Seriously, just how big is his imagination? Tress of the Emerald Sea is so heart warming and innocent it felt like it could be an Amblin movie. I also, and this was my favorite part of the book, loved that it was told by a character in the story that was almost God like, but currently insane. Check this book out, you won't be disappointed.

Fun, fast paced, gory and left open for a sequel, I enjoyed this roller coaster ride of a monster book. I actually read it in a day because I couldn't put it down.
