I love Yusuf Azeem is Not a Hero by Saadia Faruqi because of all of the emotions it’s filled. It brought me back to 20 years ago during a time when there was so much hatred towards Muslims and brown folks. It reminded me that love will always overcome hate and staying true to yourself is always important during adversity.
