Why read it?
1 author picked The Routledge International Handbook of Sociology and Christianity as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?
The International Handbook of Christian Sociology brings together, under one cover, the latest in Christian scholarship. It’s truly an international work, in that it incorporates scholars from all over the world. It is invaluable as a reference book for understanding how Christian scholars understand the changing world.
In particular, the introductory essay by its editor, Dennis Hiebert, is, in my opinion, the best introduction to post-secularism and Christianity. Besides having a chapter in the book, I’m proud to have recommended Hiebert to Routledge when they asked for someone who could edit this book.
From Joseph's list on scholarship on sociology and the Christian religion.
