What I love about this collection is the elastic nature of the stories. Though most of the entries in this collection are dark, most contain a lighthearted energy and playfulness. They are quirky, loose, and not afraid to turn the stereo up and dance. This book taught me that fiction can be fun and still pack a powerful punch.
