Louise Murchie Why did I love this book?

This is a continuation of the world of Scotsmen on the MacRae estate series. It follows the first generation of Callum, Gordain, James, Wasp, and Aly. I've followed this series from Storm The Castle to Hard Nox to Dark Island Scots, and now, Touch Her And Die.

You get old favorites, you get Scotland, you get moody, Alpha Scotsmen, desirable women that you just cheer for, and you get all the spice and action.

Certainly, not one to be listened to while the kids are around!

What is this book about?

A grumpy Scottish bodyguard with an iced-over heart, and the sunshine woman who might just melt it.

Daisy
Phoneless, carless, and trapped by my relatives, I make a daring escape in just my fancy underwear. Right as a grouchy but gorgeous bodyguard arrives to rescue me.
Enemies pursue us on our West Coast road trip, so Ben whisks me away to a snowed-in cabin in Scotland. I start falling until I'm ready to let him guard my body in every way possible.
But breaking his rules could cost me everything—including him.

Ben
As a bodyguard, I have one rule: don't…

My 2nd favorite read in 2023

Book cover of Within Her Magic

Louise Murchie Why did I love this book?

This book is the first in a series about the the dystopian world of post-apocalyptic Britain. It's got landmarks that have changed, magic rules (or not), and you have everything PNR from witches to shifters, bad guys, good guys, and pretty much grey characters. Every story is exciting, enticing, and spicy, and this is no exception.

These women don't need a man to save them; they wield their own swords, wands, and magic pretty damn well on their own, but together? Oh my!

I get excited just thinking about rereading them.

My 3rd favorite read in 2023

Book cover of Taming Violet

Louise Murchie Why did I love this book?

Annie writes for the larger women, and in this body-conscious world, it's nice to have some real figured women out there. Not all of us are a size 6.

I love how Annie brings her heroines to life, how her leading men know who and what they want, how they want it. It's realistic and as spicy as all hell, especially this one, as it plays on an aspect that is often frowned upon: a huge age gap. It's a daddy kink. And a whole lot of others.

By Annie Charme,

Why should I read it?

What is this book about?

Lies brought us together. The truth tore us apart.

I should know better than to get involved with my ex’s daughter.

Looking like the ghost from my past, Violet moves into my home, tormenting me with those sinful curves. Her familiar hazel eyes haunt my dreams, reminding me of her deceased mother, dragging me back to that fateful night.

Years ago, the heavens burst with red and blue hues as a storm tore through my world, leaving me with nothing but guilt and remorse.

Violet skies are never a good omen, but now those hues are wild streaks in her…
