How can a book about being a drug addict and criminal be uplifting and inspirational? Because that's only the beginning of the story. I’m a sucker for a redemption story, and this is a good one.
Awful things happened to Danny Trejo (and he did some pretty awful things, too), but he doesn't consider himself a victim. He believes everything happened for a reason, and now he's dedicated his life to helping others.
