This was one of the first queer ‘uplit’ novels I ever read, and prior to this, I didn’t even know queer uplit was a thing! Set in country England, it’s about an elderly postman who comes out as gay, then sets out to find his long-lost love. It reminded me so much of Eleonor Oliphant is Completely Fine in terms of tone.
