Why read it?
1 author picked The Passing Bells as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?

It is a fabulous upstairs/downstairs type of saga in which both the aristocracy and the servants who wait upon them are upended by the outbreak of WW1. Excellent writing; hard to put down.
From Michelle's list on upstairs/downstairs historical sagas with mystery.
