This book had a main character who had a major flaw – she couldn’t allow herself to feel emotions otherwise she’d be outcast from her own kind.

She was a strong female lead but strong in a way that almost destroyed her. It was a great premise for a book with a romance at the centre. But it wasn’t only romance, there was a big mystery to solve making this an addictive read.

The Psy-Changeling series is technically more paranormal romance than urban fantasy, because each book is a different couple.

However, the books traverse the world with an overarching plot that ties them all together beautifully, and most of the women are as kickass as their men. It’s my favorite series of all on my list, with a glorious twenty-one books thus far.

The world building is fantastic, the character depth makes you feel as if you are hanging out with old friends, and the plots are pure magic. 

Slave to Sensation is perfect for shifter lovers who’d also like to be introduced to a fascinating and extremely powerful species. The Psi are humans who’ve evolved into creatures able to use their minds in amazing but also frightening ways. Always well written with plenty of action, yummy romance, and strong female characters. The world building is fabulous and each book in the main series and the spin-off series is wonderful.
