I absolutely adored this novel. Mia is a married step mum with a fabulous house and career, and a beautiful 16-year-old cat called Pigeon, whom Mia loves with all her heart. As her marriage and life begin to unravel, Mia clings to her sanity by attending weekly pet bereavement classes, even though Pigeon is alive.
This was very much a novel I needed to read. My 17-year-old cat had just passed away, and I needed to grieve. I didn’t realise that this was the novel that would help me do that until I read this fabulous novel.
