Why read it?
1 author picked The Matrimonial Advertisement as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?
Mimi Matthews can charge the most simple event with tension and emotion. She's a master storyteller. Her bold and well-drawn characters are not afraid to be who they are, and they carry the narrative along. The simple, straightforwardness of the plot--which does have some great twists and turns--serves to showcase the immense tension laced through every conversation, every moment, every page of this book. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next. Even though it's a romance novel, which generally means a happy ending, I was so excited to see them reach that point!
