I loved this book because it immersed me in the 1960s era of book publishing where two women challenged the industry by writing strong female protagonists who weren't afraid to speak their mind. Add to that, book tours didn't exist until Jackie Collins and Jacqueline Susann took it upon themselves to make relationships with both bookstores and readers via scheduled tours across the country.
