My favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Of Love and Treason

Sarah Hanks ❤️ loved this book because...

This book makes me think, made me cry, and challenged me at a deep level. It's not your typical boy meets girl HEA romance, but something far deeper and more meaningful. Its message will resonate through time. God is worth trusting even if it doesn't look like how we thought or hoped. This is the kind of faith that is a light on a hill. This novel is blinding light.

My 2nd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Texas Forsaken

Sarah Hanks ❤️ loved this book because...

This is one of the richest historical novels I've ever read. I know these characters will stay with me. Sherry Shindelar is a master at weaving in setting details in a natural way that doesn't bog the story down in the slightest. Her metaphors and similes are brilliant. The characters are nuanced and deep. The story sucked me right in and kept me reading until the very end. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. I learned more about history. Excellent Christian fiction.

Forced into a world she wants nothing to do with, Eyes-Like-Sky’s only…

Book cover of Up from Dust: Martha's Story

Sarah Hanks ❤️ loved this book because...

Gripping, enlightening, with beautiful prose and heartfelt depth, Kaufman's adoration of the Word spills forth in this crown of Biblical fiction. She takes a story we know well and breathes life into it. This moved me deeply and ignited an even greater love for Jesus.
