From Natalia's list on queer Latin fantasy.
Lakelore is, arguably, the best queer novel written in the last ten years. McLemore knows prose well, and this story is all the better for it.
Good writing makes me smile; great writing gives me goosebumps, and the time I spent with this story was one in which I was constantly covered in little chilled bumps. From the trans narrative to the representations of ADHD and dyslexia, Lakelore is a triumph that reminds readers they are not alone.
