In Exodus 20:3, Diego begrudgingly helps repair a decrepit church with the mysterious caretaker, Ariel…who isn’t quite human. Religious eroticism is one of my favorite things to read, and combine that with queer Latine characters, a trans sex worker, and a biblically-accurate angel? Sign me up! And although this story is short enough to read in one sitting, its gorgeous prose and plot still pack a major punch.
