By Melissa Carver,

Why should I read it?

1 author picked Who the Hell Told You That? as one of their favorite books, and they share why you should read it.

What is this book about?

As children, we are taught right from wrong, good from bad. Our parents and caregivers provide us with tools to get us started on the right path, in hope that we will make the best decisions possible throughout our lives.

But what if the advice we’ve received isn’t helping us anymore? Is it possible to relearn life lessons?

In her first published book, Dr. Melissa Carver discusses the important idea of reprogramming the mind in order to be your best self today, in this moment. Though it may be difficult, living your best life may mean stepping out of the…

My 2nd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of From Here to the Great Unknown

Paula Swope ❤️ loved this book because...

I am a huge Elvis Presley fan, one of the crazy ones. I visit Graceland frequently, cry at the Meditation Garden, and his pictures are framed in my house on display like he's a member of the family. Needless to say, when Lisa Marie Presley's death shook me to the core, as it did millions of people.

Since I have been a die-hard Elvis fanatic for about 44 years, I know a lot about the family. Hell, Alanna Nash edited MY book, Thought SNOB: The Modern Spiritual Playbook For A Better Life. Alanna is the biographer to the Presley family. Much of what I know about Elvis came from Alanna's in-depth research. That said, I went into Lisa Marie's memoir knowing her life was chaotic, but I had no idea what level of suffering she endured.

This is a must read for any Elvis fan or anyone who struggles with mental illness or loves someone with mental health issues. But strap on your seatbelt. You have no idea what you're in for!

    🐇 I couldn't put it down

By Lisa Marie Presley, Riley Keough,

Why should I read it?

3 authors picked From Here to the Great Unknown as one of their favorite books, and they share why you should read it.

What is this book about?

Born to an American myth and raised in the wilds of Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley tells her whole story for the first time in this raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir faithfully completed by her daughter, Riley Keough.

In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-conceived memoir.

A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words; never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and grieved.

Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed,…

Book cover of Digital Dharma

Paula Swope ❤️ loved this book because...

Deepak Chopra was my professor at the Chopra Center, so I read every book he writes. This one was unlike any book I've read and it completely changed my outlook about AI. Until I read Deepak's book, I was skeptical and afraid of AI, and even felt a bit threatened by it. Not anymore. He taught me how to use it to further my career and personal life.

Thought Snob: The Modern Spiritual Playbook for a Better Life

By Paula Swope,

Book cover of Thought Snob: The Modern Spiritual Playbook for a Better Life

What is my book about?

Thought Snob is Paula Swope's cutting-edge trademarked concept and an idea that spawned from what she was told as a child – “Girl, ye’ getting’ above ye’ raisin.’” SNOB is an acronym for See New Objective Beliefs. It is her brainchild, and she developed Thought Snob to help people clean out the garbage in their subconscious minds. Her subconscious used to be a landfill. Now, it looks more like the grounds at the Biltmore Estate. She cleaned it up using SNOB. Instead of living by subjective beliefs, which are nothing more than the opinions of others, Paula looked at the facts. When you look at the facts, you realize that most of your thoughts are not true.

This book is changing the self-empowerment space because it's unlike any other self-empowerment book out there. It's funny! Have you ever read a funny self-empowerment book? The Thought Snob method makes the transformation experience fun and demystifies life and how it works. A Thought Snob is an archetype—a personality that a person takes on to be better. It's like the concept of the Pioneer Woman because it's a lifestyle and a way of thinking. A Thought Snob is like a Superwoman because Thought Snobs tap into their unique qualities that serve as a Superpower. Paula helps you identify, learn, and cultivate your innate special powers, and the result is developing strong emotional intelligence, being mindfully aware, and living in faith versus living in a constant state of doubt and worry. Once you read this book and integrate the practices daily, the people who have treated you poorly will wish they hadn't.

Thought SNOB: The Modern Spiritual Playbook For A Better Life is available on Amazon in Audiobook, Paperback, and Kindle. It has 5-star reviews, and readers especially love the audiobook because Paula narrates it in her smooth Southern tone that she's well-known for. If you love to journal while you read, make sure to purchase the paperback to accompany the audiobook. It's designed for journaling.
