My favorite read in 2024

Book cover of The Sunshine Court

Charlotte Reagan ❤️ loved this book because...

If you saw my last past (The best gay books where no one dies at the end, and one where they do) you'll know that one of my favorite book series is All For The Game. The first book, The Foxhole Court, was published in 2013. The Sunshine Court was a complete surprise ten years later, following my favorite side characters as we get to embark on their journey! Full of love, hope, and a diverse cast, this is a must read!

Do mind the trigger warnings!

My 2nd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Somewhere Beyond the Sea

Charlotte Reagan ❤️ loved this book because...

This one is a sequel to The House in the Cerulean Sea which I quite liked, but didn't love. I *loved* Somewhere Beyond the Sea. This book is a love letter to every child who needed someone to stand up for them when they were younger. A middle finger to a flawed system and a happy ending for everyone. With it's quirky cast and loving fathers, the reader feels like part of the family.

Book cover of The Hitman's Guide to Making Friends and Finding Love

Charlotte Reagan 👍 liked this book because...

I'm usually not much of an audiobook girly but Michael Ferraiuolo does such a wonderful job he had me laughing out loud. It's a long series with two spin-offs but they don't build on each other so you don't have to commit if you don't want to. *I* didn't want to, but after trying to listen to something else after the first book, I found myself thinking, "I miss Leland and Jackson." So, like any sane person, I then listened to every book in the series. If you're like me and love listening to audiobooks while you do hands on activities, I recommend any of Alice Winters books.

Why should I read it?

What is this book about?

What happens when a snarky hitman and a by-the-book PI cross paths? Leland Being a hitman has its perks, but I never thought getting an accidental mooning by an attractive PI while he’s caught on a fence would be one of them. While it’s not exactly love at first sight, he’s captured my interest and won’t let go.Suddenly, I find myself caught in a game of cat and mouse, determined to attract the attention of Jackson, the PI who should be my enemy. He pretends like he’s not flattered by my flowers and the mentions of my totally-not-fictitious blow-up doll…
