Book cover of Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution

Ana Velez ❤️ loved this book because...

I was able to understand evolution in a whole new way from a mother-centered perspective. The author is funny and can explain complex concepts well. It gave me a new perspective about society and made me rethink some things as a teacher. For instance, reading is counterintuitive to primal survival. We hyper-focus on little squiggles and shut the world around us, perfect time for a predator to get us.
