Why read it?
1 author picked ...And Ladies of the Club as one of their favorite books. Why do they recommend it?
This is a very long book—1,176 pages. I read many books at a time so I decided to read a few pages of this book each evening. I always ended up reading more than I'd planned to. This is the story about a town in Ohio, from 1868, right after the Civil War, to 1932. It encompasses families, relationships, history, politics, and everything in between. A veritable history of our country during those years told in a wonderful, informative and heartwarming way.
