Book cover of The Summer of No Attachments

Twila Mason ❤️ loved this book because...

The relationships in this book are amazingly written. The romance between Ivey and Corbin is complicated yet easy for them while the romance between Hope and Lang is delicate and healing. Lori handles the nuances in a complicated relationship with an addict perfectly. Everything is well thought out and believable. I wanted to hug Justin so many times. You’ll feel all the feels as you read this book.

What is this book about?

“[A] satisfying page-turner, complete with adorable animals and an idyllic summer setting.”—Publishers Weekly on The Summer of No Attachments

Summer flings with no strings mean nobody gets hurt.
At least, that was the plan…

After putting the brakes on her dead-end relationship, local veterinarian Ivey Anders is ready to soak up this summer on her own terms. The way she sees it, no dating means no disappointment. Why complicate life with anything long-term? But when she meets Corbin Meyer—and his troubled young son, Justin—Ivey’s no-strings strategy threatens to unravel before she can put it into practice.

Trust doesn’t come easy…

My 2nd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Reckless Memories

Twila Mason ❤️ loved this book because...

This is my first book by Catherine Cowles, but it won’t be my last! I loved Ford and Bell’s story. It’s a contemporary romance packed with emotion and an element of suspense. I can usually figure out stories long before I finish them, but I have to say I didn’t see the resolution to the suspense portion coming. The characters are realistic and perfectly flawed. There are some great side characters as well. I loved it all!

What is this book about?

I loved him before I knew what the word meant. From skinned knees to first dates and everything in between. But he was never mine to love.I settled for friendship, even though I always wanted more. That was before. Before he ripped my world apart and didn’t bother sticking around to help me pick up the pieces. I knit every last shred back together all on my own. And I’ve all but forgotten his name. Now, he’s back, and everything is torn apart once more. But he’s not the only one doing the tearing this time. And there might be no stopping…

My 3rd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Pumpkin Spice and Not So Nice

Twila Mason ❤️ loved this book because...

This was my first book by Becky Monson, but it won't be my last. I loved this pumpkiny romcom. The characters were relatable and flawed and grew throughout the book. The Petersen family pumpkin patch is very much like a local one we attend every single year. The complicated family dynamics are very relatable. I very much enjoyed this book, all while drinking my pumpkin spice latte!

What is this book about?

If I were ever to write a memoir, it would be titled, Jenna Peterson’s Guide to Dating Emotionally Unavailable Men. I’m like a professional at it. I’m so good, I can take any dysfunctional man and turn him into Prince Charming, just in time for him to dump me and then go on to marry the next woman he dates. I’m about ready to give up on loving real men and focus on lusting over fictional men in the Turkish dramas I can’t stop devouring.

But then...I find a mysterious 50-dollar bill with a handwritten note on it that was…

Don‘t forget about my book 😀

Piece by Piece

Book cover of Piece by Piece

What is my book about?

Aria Sutton is determined to be nothing like her drug-addict mother. All Aria needs is a few more years to turn her life around, but when her mom messes up again, Aria’s fragile world comes crashing down around her. Suddenly homeless, she carries the weight of not only her survival but also that of her preteen brother. Her only hope is Luke Hardin, her childhood crush who fled their neighborhood six years ago and never looked back.

The last thing Luke expects is Aria’s desperate call for help. After the way he left things between them, the least he can do is let her and her brother crash at his place. With her sleeping down the hall, the past comes rushing back, ready or not. But for Luke, going down memory lane brings back demons from his past that he’d rather keep buried, and the steady life he’s built for himself is threatened.

The boundaries Aria and Luke set are put to the test when circumstances force them closer than ever. While meticulously planning her future, Aria never considered leaving room for the possibility of love. As they navigate the trials of life, Luke questions whether he’s strong enough to let Aria go again. Maybe they can use the pieces of their broken lives to build a better life. Together.
