Book cover of Find Your True Voice

Jack Barsky ❤️ loved this book because...

Dr. Fred Moss is an eminent psychologist. Find Your True Voice is one of the best self help books I ever read. The 100 pages of this book are packed with the best advice for practically anybody, but especially mentors, influencers, teachers, podcasters and all other people with a message to share. At the very core of this teaching is the focus on authenticity, be true to yourself at all times, and that means you have to get to know yourself as well as you can. I am a coach and mentor, and this book has elevated my game.

My 3rd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of Sizing People Up

Jack Barsky ❤️ loved this book because...

Robin Dreeke is a retired FBI counterintelligence agent. During the time he operated in the field he was known to be one of the most successful agents. His instinctive understanding of human nature enabled him to turn several GRU (Russian military intelligence) agents. Mr. Dreeke made a career change and joined the behavioral division of the FBI where he acquired more and deeper insights into human behavior. He eventually was promoted to lead the behavioral division from which he retired . In 'Sizing People up' the author shares the incredible wisdom he acquired during his years in intelligence. What makes the book so readable is the fact that he uses a lot of examples of real cases he was involved in. I am in the 'people business' and an amateur psychologist. As such I consider 'Sizing People up' as a great companion piece to the famous 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' by Dale Carnegie.

What is this book about?

After two decades as a behavior analyst in the FBI, Robin Dreeke knows a thing or two about sizing people up. He's navigated complex situations that range from handling Russian spies to navigating the internal politics at the Bureau. Through that experience, he was forced to develop a knack for reading people--their intentions, their capabilities, their desires and their fears.

Dreeke's first book, It's Not All About "Me," has become a cult favorite with readers seeking to build quick rapport with others. His last book, The Code of Trust, was about how to inspire trust in others as a leader.…
