- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2016These are great books.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2014Extremely thorough. Not for a neophyte as it does assume that you are generally knowledgable about horticulture. Only two trivial complaints. First and foremost, the plants are ordered by latin family names. This will cause some problems, but hey! It is time you learned the scientific names. Temp hardiness is given in centigrade, but a conversion is shown in the front.
Overall, a great asset and provides a lot of detail that you will not find elsewhere.
If you purchase one of the used volumes, you will get a great deal.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2014The book is what I expected it to be as Volume 2 (from a different seller ) arrived before Volume 1. The only thing I wasn't too happy about was that the cover was detached from the book itself. All it took was a little glue but I shouldn't have had to do that. Someone wasn't very careful either inspecting the book or packing it before shipment. Kind of sloppy don't you think?
