- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2024When I travel, I prefer having a real guide book, as I don't have to rely on finding a reliable wifi connection on my mobile, or use up massive memory on my phone. Fodor's has always been my go-to guide book if there isn't a Time-Out or Harvard's Let's Go guide on the country/city. Helps with just about everything, from how to navigate public transportation, to finding a good bar or hotel.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2024This travel guide is well laid out and easy to follow. Tons of info about travel destinations in Japan, food, customs and culture. Great detailed info regarding transportation in and between cities. I highly recommend this travel guide.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2024I bought this for my first trip to Japan. Has very helpful preparation suggestions and I just tore out the pages for the places we visited.
I’m glad I bought it

- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2024well organized, super index which is very important....and good writing and photos....very helpful resource
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2024Disappointed in Lonely Planet, we dug into Fordor's and won! This is a working guide to a very foreign place. The any hints on crowds, not just at the sights but, CRITICALLY, for tram, RR, bus, and metro. Fodor's is practical, Lonely Planet was a Wikipedia of too much of the unnecessary.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mal empacado

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is useless
This is garbage. It’s worse than not having a book at all. It’s extremely poorly written, full of useless facts presented in an illogical order.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kwalitatief veel goede inhoud in een kwalitatief vorm

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless guide
Quality is very poor. History section slim. Whole book is too small to have any real recommendations.
