Sisters in Christ: Defeat the Enemy One Powerful Prayer At a Time Paperback – July 21, 2022
Purchase options and add-ons
Sisters in Christ don’t just share common interests, but they share a bloodline of rich ancestry. They aren’t just friends, they are sisters, relatives in the royal family.
We live in a world that is increasingly hostile and less than supportive of people who make a stand for Christ. However, for all believers, our common mission is to love our Heavenly Father with all our heart and to love others the way Jesus Himself loved through His example in the New Testament.
I believe now is the time to come together, as Sisters in Christ, to encourage and support each other as we stand up for the truths of the Bible, to introduce the world to the only Savior who has all the answers. There isn’t a better time than now to shine God’s light to those who need Him most.
My prayer is that God will put this book in the hands of Sisters in Christ who will form communities across the country, across the globe – offering fellowship, support, encouragement, prayer and love to one another in order to reach the lost and broken with God’s message of salvation.

That said, there’s so much in this book that I resonate with. Reading about the author’s experiences when it comes to friendship--from stepping out of comfort zones, to patience and respect. Compassion, honesty, and loyalty--gives me hope. Lots of it. The pages are also filled with encouraging stories pertaining to other women and their friendships. Not only that, but the format makes it easier to process the sections within each chapter: My Story, What Does the Bible Say, Real Life, Takeaways for Today, Prayer of Encouragement, and Your Turn--questions to ask yourself.
As I wait for God’s timing, I’ll reflect on what’s needed to build and foster the future friendships He has for me too. Sisters in Christ is an answer to my prayers. Thanks, Cheri, for writing this much-needed book!

This heartwarming book is well thought, well planned, and well written. The chapters are laid out so that readers will be able to clearly understand each lesson. In each chapter there is: My Story, What Does the Bible Say, Real Life, Takeaways for Today, Prayer of Encouragement, and Your Turn, questions to ask yourself. This would make a wonderful small group or reading group selection. There is so much to glean from this book. Information on healthy friendships, growing closer to God, prayer, grace, and forgiveness are just a few subjects you will find. If you have a teenage or young adult daughter, this is perfect for her. It is never too early to establish a Christian friendship.
I thoroughly enjoyed this thought provoking, inspirational Christian Living book by this engaging author. It receives a 5 out of 5 star rating from this reader. I highly recommend it.
I have various friends that we pray for each other, but I'm praying for that special sisters in Christ friendship that Cheri shares about.
I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review.
Book starts out with a dedication page then a note from the author about SIC Society
Table of contents is enclosed.
Introduction talks about how the author became a Sister In Christ.
Chapters start out with a title and the theme for that chapter, and the author's story.
Segments also include: What does the Bible say, Real Life, Takeaway for Today, Pryaer to Abba and Your turn where the Q&A and discussions questions are listed.
Like this format throughout the book because I like order and being uniform.
What I learned from this book is a lot-Love how the author takes a thought and relates how it directly effects her and her family and how SIC's can help one another even from different backgrounds and at a different place in their lives.
Like the sections about the Bible-they make the passage come to life, in real life terms.
Love the part about the Brothers in Christ-that was a surprise to read about, Love Indians and their traditions and customs.
Book is so down to earth and easy to put into your own life situations.
I felt a peace, calm and no upheaval.
Like the conlcusion and how to reach out to others. Ends with contact the author and bio of the author.
