"New neighbors, cryptic Christmas cards, and jury duty. What next? Campbell McBride is juggling her new role as a private investigator with her slightly wacky personal life. She's excited to serve on a jury for a case concerning a painting that was stolen twenty years earlier. A young woman settling her grandmother's estate had taken the painting to have it appraised and ended up on trial for possessing stolen property. Her curiosity is piqued and she is eager to hear the testimonies. But then she is dismissed as a juror. Although the young woman is found innocent of criminal intent, she hires True Blue Investigations to find out who stole the painting and how it ended up in her grandmother's attic. Although they are excited to pursue a case that has more questions than answers, Campbell and her dad will find solving a twenty-year-old crime involves more danger than one would expect. Can they figure out who stashed a valuable painting in their client's attic? And is the murder of an egocentric landlord somehow connected?"--

I have so enjoyed this series! This book included initially a cold case. Then a "modern" crime occurred. But, solving the case took a few twists. I wasn't quite sure who was the guilty part throughout the book, which is unusual as I usually figure out it early on. This one had a lot of different characters (almost too many!), so it kept you guessing. Well done!

I stumbled upon this series and enjoyed them. She had many different motives for why people were doing things in each book, it was nice to go through all these various ideas book after book! Very imaginative!
Although Christ was not the center of her books, there was some Christian message. I liked how clean the books were and enjoyed the characters. More of a cosy series which I enjoyed.

True blue Christmas was a good and fun read, with some twist and turns before the final outcome. It also had a mixture of romance and twined in the story.

This is book five in the True Blue. mystery series and i have really enjoyed every one. This time Campbell & her dad look into a 20 year old case of art theft, and wind up in a murder mystery involving blackmail and attempted kidnapping/murder, as well as a thief in the neighborhood. Campbell & Keith finally declare their love for each other. Will there be another book (or two)? I sure hope so!

Complicated plot with twists and turns means don’t read it before bed when you’re falling asleep. You’ll need to be clear headed to keep up. The relationship between Keith and Campbell has a good ending. It’s a clean read.

Campbell was involved in a very complex case. Someone had stolen a valuable painting many years ago. You will be surprised how this plot twists and turns around a plethora of suspects all the while falling in love with Detective Keith. This is a multiple plot story.

This is the fifth book in the series and each book gets better. I look forward to each release and read as soon as possible. It is one of the few I will automatically buy.

The story is set around Christmas, starting mid December. This story has a few things happening. We start with Campbell going to jury duty and her wondering if the suspect is guilty. To then being hired to investigate the crime. At the same time Keith the police detective is wondering about the same crime.

We also have new neighbours moving in next door. Some cryptic cards being sent to her father. I also think one of the silent achievers of the book is Rita the house keeper who now comes twice a week. The goodies she bakes for them sound so yummy and I think we could all use a Rita. She may not be featured but what she does is.

The case is interesting finding how a stolen painting ended up in an attic. Who put it there, who stole it and why. I had ideas of who was involved and changed my mind so many time. This is a reason I love the twists and turns and how the leads are followed. I don’t want to say to much cos you need to read it for yourself.

This is a great series and I look forward to reading more. I am still not reading a lot due to being so tired but this book flows so well. This really helps and while its a Mystery I didn’t get bogged down. It does help to read the other books in the series but if you haven’t it won’t take long to work out the relationships between characters.

Christmas is coming. Campbell McBride, her father, Bill, and her co-worker Nick Emerson are making holiday plans, but that doesn't slow down the team at True Blue Investigations. There's a new PI in town, the McBrides have a new neighbor, Campbell is called for jury duty, and as the True Blue team carry out their investigations for their clients, they sometimes reach dead ends, sometimes dig out the truth, and sometimes put themselves in danger. They are people of integrity who do their best to help their clients without breaking the law. The blossoming romance between Campbell and Detective Keith Fuller is a feature. Susan Page Davis draws together the characters and story threads to create an interesting read with a satisfying ending. As always, faith is an important element.
