Loved this story and can’t wait to read the next…Full of characters that you will love and a few you won’t and a few…well, I won’t give any spoilers here. The world building was great. I truly felt as if I was along for this “epic fantasy adventure “.I’m almost speechless. If you like fantasy and adventure, this book is for you!

Stone & Sky is a debut novel in a fantasy series based in Finlestia, and if you ever experienced the heartache of wishing you could swap your world for that of Middle Earth or Pandora, then you will understand the yearning I now have to live there. There is magic, and fantastical creatures, and no shortage of adventure. It is hard to believe that this is a debut novel because it is so beautifully crafted- the world, the magic system, the characters… they are all full and rich and complex. It is everything you want from a fantasy novel and it feels both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. Really well-paced- the book is pretty thick which scared me as a slow reader, but it is so hard to put down that it feels like a breeze to read.
Also, let’s just take a second to appreciate the cover art. It harkens back to those classic 80s fantasy covers but, again, feels modern and exciting.
The books in this series are sure to become pillars of the genre, and I cannot wait to see what adventure awaits in Book 2. If you haven’t read the Prelude collection, I highly recommend starting there. I don’t think you NEED to read it first, or at all, in order to enjoy this book but the experience is so much richer with that foundation to guide you.

I had high hopes for this book, and let me tell you, it went above and beyond. As the first part of an epic fantasy duo, it stands out on its own.

I read the smaller stories before, so I was already into some of the main characters. It felt like catching up with old buddies when they showed up on the main level. The characters are lively, and I genuinely care about what happens to each one.

"Stone & Sky" is just a continuous thrill. From the plot twists to the introduction of fantastic creatures which are truly spectacular additions to the fantasy world, and especially in the dialogue—this book just keeps giving. The talks between characters are just top-notch. Every single thing about this book worked for me. Now, I'm super excited for its sequel. Can't wait!

I actually found this book on threads. The author ZS Diamanti popped up promoting his second book in the series. Turns out this book was on my TBR. I immediately bought the book blind. As soon as I started reading it, Stone & Sky was a ride. The world building was beautiful and the characters were vibrant and fun. Sometimes world building in books can be difficult to follow along with, but Diamanti builds a world so easy to seecij your mind and you feel like you live there within pages. There were no dullor unnecessary details. I loved the feeling of hope strung throughout the book. If you like magic and books about building strong friendship bonds this book is for you.

Everything I wanted and a heck of a lot more! I had so many expectations for this book, and it absolutely obliterated them.
This is the first in an epic fantasy duo, and it is in a league of it's own.
I had read the prelude stories so I was already really invested in some of the main characters. Every time one of them turned up it was like bumping into an old friend. The characters are so dynamic and I cared about what happened to all of them.
Stone & sky just does not stop giving, whether it be with the plot, the fantastical creatures (and there are some spectacular additions to the fantasy realm!) and especially within the dialogue.
I'd give this all the stars if I could. Everything about this was perfect for me. I cannot wait for Stone & Tide.
