- Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2023The story flowed easily and kept my interest throughout. If she and her life were as complex as the author described, what a fascinating life she lived. I was very surprised at the number of editing errors in this book, i.e, non-words, incorrect words, hyphenated words, nonsensical words. I would suggest the author contact his editor and run the text through again very thoroughly. How embarrassing.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2022I didn’t begin this as a fan of Jackie nor did I end as one. The author is in no way trying to convert the reader. It’s a subjective book. I definitely recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2024One must wonder how the author was able to glean so much information about Jackie’s life both before and after her husband’s assignation, but as compared to other published accounts of Jackie’s life, his description seems accurate and well thought out. He included the bad with the good, which seemed believable. I appreciated his honesty that lead me to a better understanding of such a complex life.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2024I was in the third grade when a young woman teacher burst into my classroom crying that “The President has been killed”. That day and the following four days are burned into my memory. I remember seeing Mrs. Kennedy in this truly great tragedy, as a force that united us as Americans. I greatly enjoyed this book about her.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2024It was an interesting read. I gave it three stars because I am just sickened by how much infidelity I read about within the Kennedy/Bouvier families. Extra marital affairs were so common. To proclaim being a Christian and then committing adultery is so sad. I liked the historical context and learning more about the part this family played in history.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2024Jackie was no lady. She did have a backbone os steel and redeemed herself in motherhood and her grandchildren. Very interesting.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2022Have read many, many books about Jackie, but I did find some new information in this book. So, I would encourage fellow "Jackie-Phillies" to spend some pleasant and interesting hours with this book. I would also encourage the author and editor to be a little more careful in their research. "Yusha" Auchincloss is Jackie and Lee's stepmother, not their half brother.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2024I love any story about Jack and Jackie!

3.0 out of 5 stars interesting
I enjoyed this book, gave a good insight to Jackie’s life after Jack. I felt it was a reasonable autobiography but unfortunately he chose to believe the worse version on all of Jackie’s friendships and actions. For a start, no way do l believe that Jackie and Bobby Kennedy had an affair, to do so would to both of them betray Jack and his children, these two people suffered the most awful tragedy, especially Jackie, sat next to him when he was slaughtered. As a woman who loves her husband, this is going to affect you forever. So well done to her for being an amazing woman whose children adored her to the day she died. What mother could ask for more.
