Purchase options and add-ons
The rules were simple: keep his hands off his agent's daughter and stay out of trouble.
But now he's stuck with her. There's only one bed. And well, rules are made to be broken.
Rhett Eaton is the face of professional bull riding. The golden boy. Or at least he was until it all blew up in his face after a public brawl. Now his agent says he has to clean up his image, and sticks Rhett with his ball-busting daughter for the rest of the season as "full-time supervision."
But Rhett doesn't need a goddamn babysitter―especially one with skin-tight jeans, a sexy smirk, and a mouth she can't stop running.
A mouth he can't stop thinking about.
And he quickly learns that Summer Hamilton isn't just another conquest. She sees the man behind the mask, and she doesn't run―she pulls him closer, even when she shouldn't.
She says this means nothing.
Rhett says this means everything.
She says there are boundaries they shouldn't cross. That Rhett's reputation can't take any more hits…and neither can her damaged heart.
Rhett says he's going to steal it anyway.

About the Author
Elsie Silver is a Canadian author of sassy, sexy, small town romance who loves a good book boyfriend and the strong heroines who bring them to their knees. She lives just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia with her husband, son, and three dogs and has been voraciously reading romance books since before she was probably supposed to.
She loves cooking and trying new foods, traveling, and spending time with her boys–especially outdoors. Elsie has also become a big fan of her quiet five am mornings, which is when most of her writing happens. It’s during this time that she can sip a cup of hot coffee and dream up a fictional world full of romantic stories to share with her readers.

I was completely engrossed and invested in Rhett and Summer’s story. Rhett is a rodeo guy, and I typically don’t gravitate to “cowboy” type romances but I loved this one. Rhett is surly and grumpy but not really and Summer was tough and sassy. Their banter was great. I loved all of Rhett’s family and Summer’s dad and best friend Willa. This was such a great story with a twist or two I did not expect at all. I devoured this one and I am all in when it comes to the town of Chestnut Springs and the rest of the Eaton boys. Definitely worth the hype.

I've seen this series recommended a bunch on every social media platform. Usually when a book is that hyped I avoid it or end up hating it. This one surprised me, it was engaging, the characters were authentic and relatable, even the side characters. I had an idea how the book would end but the ending was a whirlwind of emotion and not what I expected. My biggest gripe is that it's billed as enemies to lovers and it absolutely is not that. It was two snarky strangers who don't know each other well to lovers.
I had other books on my TBR but I think I need to finish this series first.
overall 5 stars
spice 3 stars
One of my biggest issues with the book was Rhett, the literal bull riding cowboy, and perpetually whiny man child. Dude is a hoe for attention bcs apparently his adorable family doesn’t give him enough of it (there’s a lot of grunty testosterone-y men okay) and so he does things like risk his life half the time and fckboi his way through the rest. No really, bull riding is his entire personality and it got old real soon. Enter Summer, who breezes into his life to serve as babysitter following one such PR nightmare (which I give him is not his fault). She’s sweet, she’s kind, he’s the grumpy to her sunshine.
Honestly I did not feel the connection between them at all, because apart from her caregiver nature being a draw for Rhett, what else did they have going on? What did he bring to the table? Yes yes he’s protective and will growl at anyone who looks at her askew but again, she’s the one cleaning up his man child behavior. Okay maybe I just don’t like him, sue me. The long unkempt hair didn’t help his case at all (definitely a personal bias here). The spice was spicy and well done, but their story outside of that was almost too sweet. And it didn’t help that it takes about the first quarter of the book to get into the weeds of who they are as people. Before then we are just coasting along getting introduced to people and things.
The thing is, almost every other character we meet has more of a personality than the main couple. Willa literally had me intrigued in 5 seconds flat and I was more interested in all the other brothers etc than in overgrown man baby over here. Which does have me excited for the next books. Heck, my favorite was Kip, Summer’s dad who’s both funny and diabolical. Winter, who we are clearly supposed to dislike in support of Summer, I immediately liked on principle. Because give me a cold hearted bish with layers over a sunny bland girl any day. Okay Summer wasn’t so much bland as she felt very malleable but the point stands.

This book was amazing.
Rhett and Summer what a combination, their chemistry is off the charts, and the banter between them sets you in a perfect mood.
And if you don't like cowboys, you'll be changing your mind very quickly.
Elsie Silver will take you through a roller coaster of emotions, and you will feel your heart strings being pulled tight, you will feel the tension between the character as they evolve, and the spice, uuufffff.
You will fall in love with Rhett and Summer while they help each other overcome their struggles.
This is a perfect small town, forced proximity romance, so be ready to swoon and sigh.
