The therapy that I've been needing. I can read it over and over again.

After reading "Making Peace With Your Past" I realize that the first 20 years of my life were spent seeking approval to receive love. The next 20 years were spent resisting love inorder to feel that I was in control of my life. Now I will spend the next 20 years leaning how to unlearn everything I learned the previous 40 years. Once I've successfully unlearned everything, the last 20 years of my life will be spent learning the true lessons of love, peace and happiness. Even though that sounds a little gloomy I'm sure I'll be a lot happier the last 40 years of my life now that I at least know what path to follow and hopefully stay on. Thanks Mr. Wright. God bless you!

Great condition and speedy delivery!

This is an excellent resource for personal counseling that also may be used for group counseling and workshop engagement. It offers sound biblical references, helping the reader connect with Christian principles for understanding self and others. My first copy was acquired more than ten years ago and temporarily misplaced among some storage items. Upon recently rediscovering the book I reviewed and ordered copies for others. It's easy to read, and the 2013 publication is now in larger print and more appealing.

This is a very interesting read that probed deeper into my mind and past than I had anticipated! And that can be a bit off a putting and scary! A couple chapters seemed to drag me to a mirror and hold my nose to the image and say: to you realize now?!?!
I sensed a bit of over play to recall early childhood memories, slights, and parental flaws; but yeah, I get it. Maybe I should probe more into my reluctance to speculate each emotion and memory of my childhood; but I've got enough "today" problems to bridge!
Each the chapters had plenty of definition, symptoms, behavioral analysis, and steps for working through the issues of that chapter to truly be helpful (NOT that this is a self-help book to eliminate counseling and therapy). But the greatest help was the author's insights on God's presence and grace in Christ to keep living life abundantly despite all emotional/behavioral hardships and challenges!
I do reckoned this book, especially happy knowing that I will return to it again spending more time dealing with some of my past!!

I read this book a few years ago, and it revealed an astonishing amount of answered questions. I frequently go back to the notes annotated to track my progress or to gather my energy and attention in regards to certain things that may still surface. Great book full of priceless insight.

This book is very informative as well as filled with details on how to make peace with your past. It is a well balanced book. The author infuses Bible scripture with sound psychological knowledge-based information to help one, literally gain healing and peace from negative past experiences that continually hinders the present and future life from being fruitful.

I found this book very helpful at the beginning though it did seem to fizzle as I read on. Still I am glad I read it and appreciative for the insight it did provide.
