This book is such a treasure of literature for military kids. The rhyming story flows well telling some unique experiences of military families. It’s so good to see milfam life through such a beautiful book. So happy to have it and my kids are too.

An excellent tribute to those who serve in our SIX Armed Forces. The story, the rhyme, and the illustrations are superb. The beautifully detailed illustrations caused me to pause and examine each page. I also love the discussion questions at the end. As a retired Coast Guard pilot I appreciate the question about what the other branches of the military do to serve our country. This would be a great story to read to children around Veterans Day, or any day.

The main characters are a military family and there aren’t many books about military families; I love the representation!

The illustrations are visually stunning. My mother was a paratrooper and this book really brought me back to those days staring at “The Peppered Sky.”

Definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

The rhyming story is a great introduction and reminder to children that behind many of our service members are families who love and miss them. The discussion topics at the end are a great way to get the reader to think and ask questions which hopefully spurs their interest in learning more about being a patriotic American and military supporter.
