This is a great playbook for anyone who is going through a job transition. Sabina's first hand experience with the expected and unexpected challenges and her lessons learned are invaluable. For example, treat the job search as if it is your new job, we are now writing resumes for technology, friends and former co-workers may distance themselves (for many reasons), and the importance of networking. Most importantly, when our friends and family members are going through a transition, we should find a way (no matter how small) to show support, compassion, and encouragement.

I purchased this book for three reasons: (1) I heard Sabina's interview on Impact Theory and her message resonated with me; (2) I am helping other individuals who are suddenly unemployed to find their next job; and (3) my children recently graduated from college and are now into their careers so I'd like to be there with good advice, if and when they experience such challenges.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about their career. You may eventually work with organizations that get restructured, have a boss that sucks, or face other challenges that lead to a transition. The tips in this playbook will help you get going and find that next great job with less wasted time and angst. Good luck!

Remember the "What color is your parachute" guides? This is a hundred times better. Enough said.

This book is a well-rounded guide to navigating the challenges of unemployment. The author provides a holistic and human view of the unemployment experience, while guiding you through very important steps to manage it. Nobody else teaches you these things, especially in a one-stop resource. She shares her experience and walks you through important steps to take from the moment you find yourself unemployed through the transition back to work. The market is flooded with books about how to find a job, network, apply for employment, write your resume, interview, etc. This book goes beyond that and helps you take care of yourself and your loved ones during such a difficult transition. Her advice also helps you avoid pitfalls and pivot effectively, meeting you where you are in that journey.

A former colleague recommended this book and could not be happier they did. For anyone looking for a new job - whether you are unemployed or not - this is a must read. I've been in the professional world for over 20 years and still learned a ton of new info by reading this book. The author does a great job of providing practical advice combined with real world stories so it doesn't read like a textbook, but instead it reads like an enjoyable novel that takes you through their successes (and failures!) in job searching.

Sabina Sulat dug deep into the roller-coaster ride that is unemployment and packaged her lessons learned, experiences, guidance, and wisdom for the greater good. The pandemic exacerbated isolation, jobs lost and industries decimated, embarrassment, fear, and every other emotional trigger. Sabina wrote the book that others DO need to read. You are not alone in your journey, though at times it feels that way. This book smartly navigates approaches, conversations, topics you may not have considered that need attention, and hope. I wish the circumstances underlying the book had not happened; we all benefit from how Sabina packaged the lessons from her journey.

I felt as if I were living her experiences as I read about them. I so love her courage and dignity, the essential core of grace In the midst of everything the Covid year threw at her.
We each have to find out our way through difficulties, but hearing how a fellow human being encountered troubles, some of them even harder than mine, and got through all the emotions and beyond, to a space of clarity and purpose, really does help.
After reading this, I don't wish to have Sabina's life, I wish to have my own best life.
Heartily recommended.

“Call me Ishmael” is an unforgettable start line in “Moby Dick” (the famous quest for the White Whale) and here is another from Sabina Sulat’s new book “Agile Unemployment”, while on the quest for meaningful work: “This is the book you hope to never write and hope no one needs to read !”
If you need a book with some very interesting guidelines and original practical checklists on thriving in the out of work bleak days, it’s a definite an exceptional good read.
Thank you Sabina Sulat !

I’ve really enjoyed this book. While I’m currently and quite happily employed, we have all been or will be in a transition at some point. Sabina’s experience and insights are incredibly valuable. This book provides help, hope and solid practical advice from an authentic person who has lived it
