Lots of cackeling needed as you read this story. Our 8 year old that was having a hard time with reading and therefore did not like reading was excited to read this book. Good story and fun to read.

My kindergartner loves this book. I read it to him a couple of times then he started reading the whole book aloud by himself. I felt this book gave him a great motivation to read. Simple and interesting story and colorful pictures! Most words are easy yet there are some new words to him. Highly recommend for young book lovers!

I bought this for my daughter when she was 3, and she wasn't ready for it yet. I put it on the shelf, and came back when she was 5 and it was a lot better. Really fun story, and it's quite long.

5.0 out of 5 stars It teaches great moral values to young children.

This is a story of a young witch, who was bullied and bossed around by her older sisters. She lacked self confidence and believed that she had no power of her own. Through a new friendship with a young human boy, she discovered her own power and her other abilities, and by each try of her new-found strength she discovered her self. At the end she was even able to put spells to her two elder sisters and outwitted them.

This is a great story for little children. I read this book to my son, who's 3, and he loved it. It teaches children to believe in themselves and encourage them to try new things and learn. There are no violence, no scary descriptions; perfect for little children to read to and it is interesting enough for older children to read on their own. I fully recommend it. I hope that "I can read" series make more of this kind of books!
