About the Author

Cheryl began her real estate career in 2001, she started in residential sales and quickly became passionate about lots and land, but still engages in home sales to stay connected with the residential market. Throughout her career, she encountered many residential agents/brokers, investors, and landowners who simply did not understand the land aspects of real estate. Often the residential real estate professionals believed, and were told "land deals are too complicated and difficult to understand'. Many were told to just "refer it to the land guy in the office". But she realized they just didn't know what they didn't know, and no one was teaching it to them, and so this book was born. It is Cheryl's way of helping others learn, in a short amount of time what took her years to learn. Her goal is to make this information easy to read and understand in order to gain the basic knowledge needed to engage in lots and land transactions. After all, most houses sit on land, shouldn't we know as much about that property as possible? We owe it to our clients. Step out of your box and learn what you need to. You might become the next "land guy or lady in the office". Do real good things today!

I must read for buying land!
The title pretty much sums it up. 10 Things you need to know about Land. If you have or are thinking about inviting in land or even if you already have a house on a nice lot this book is for you. The inspirational quotes are just an added plus.

I read some reviews that criticized this book pretty much for being extremely beginner friendly. I find those reviews to be absolutely ridiculous!!!! Like anything in life that one doesn't know you have to learn and the author of this book does a great job of teaching from the perspective of one not already knowing all there is to know about land. As someone considering becoming a land investor, I found this book to be extremely helpful in educating me on all the things to look for and consider when buying land. While reading this book I couldn't help but think how I wish I had known much of the information already during my purchase of land a few years ago. Luckily my purchase turned out well but with the knowledge I now have, my next land purchase will not be left up to chance. I highly recommend this book...FIVE STARS!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
