Started reading this on holiday thinking it would appeal to my plane geekiness and my love of travel. It truly surpassed my expectations. It was an inspiring story of one feisty and determined women who had a dream and often had to fight adversity to achieve her goal - 3 amazing flights spanning the globe, following in the footsteps of some of the great female aviators before her. I also loved that Tracey was an ambassador for equality, encouraging young females into the world of aviation, doing talks, school visits etc. on her world travels to demonstrate girls have every right to earn their wings. Had me hooked within the first few pages. This is an extraordinary story of a remarkable woman and her team who recreated iconic flights from a bygone era. Beautifully told by Tracey herself in such an intimate way that it takes you on the journey from the comfort of your armchair. An inspirational read for anybody with an interest in iconic aviation.

Read this book fairly quickly as it was an easy read and one where I wanted to find out what happened. This lady has led a most interesting life, one that I guess most of us will have no knowledge of. She flies in what sounds like a really fragile plane but obviously has faith in it and truly knows what she is doing. It’s definitely a story to influence girls and let them know that the sky is the limit for what they can do. It’s a shame the author was let down in various places by a rotten bloke whom they should have got rid of, but didn’t. Worth reading though, if only to know what adventures some people get up to.
