“Readers will be delighted.”Publishers Weekly starred review on One More for Christmas

From the USA TODAY bestselling author of The Christmas Sisters and A Wedding in December comes this sparkling tale of Christmas redemption…

For sisters Samantha and Ella Mitchell, Christmas is their most precious time of the year. But this year, they’ll be buying presents for the most unexpected guest of all—their mother. It’s been five years since they last saw each other. But when their mom calls out of the blue, Samantha and Ella cautiously agree to spend Christmas all together in the beautiful Scottish Highlands…

Gayle Mitchell is at the top of her career, but her success has come at a price—her relationship with her daughters. Her tough-love approach to parenting was designed to make them stronger, but instead managed to push them away…until a brush with her own mortality forces Gayle to make amends.

As the snowflakes fall on their first family celebration in years, the Mitchell women must learn that sometimes facing up to the past is all you need to heal your heart…

Find out what happens when a career-driven woman exchanges her briefcase for a Christmas-kissed cottage in USA Today bestselling author Sarah Morgan's heartwarming story, The Holiday Cottage!

A holiday book worthy of a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie :)
One more for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is a feel-good Christmas story worthy of the Hallmark channel 😁 Sisters Samantha & Ella Love everything about Christmas, spending it together every year making up for everything their childhood Christmas's lacked. They haven't spoken with their mother Gayle for years but when Gail suffers an accident & her daughters go to her side, they begin to tentatively move forward into a new phase of their relationship. As Gayle tries to mend the rift between her and her daughters she also tries to build a relationship with her granddaughter Tab, trying to get it right with this second chance. The whole family travels to the Scottish Highlands for Samantha's company on business where they meet an amazing family, form new friendships, mend old rifts, and maybe even find love. A heartwarming story in a magical setting!

I loved the style, humour and descriptive power of Susan Morgan! The perfect antidote to Covid lockdown Christmas 2021. The characters are multidimensional, well observed and likeable. The storyline, never boring, flows easily. The plot follows the emotional connecting journey of a distant mother and two daughters, their own growth and the balance of their other relationships. Add to this some cracking scenery, a sprinkling of snowflakes, a few reindeer, just enough romantic love and sexual references to bring extra warmth and mirth to the storyline, I can absolutely recommend this book.... I have since bought it for friends and I am reading ‘First Time in Forever’ by the same author.

A lodge setting in the Scottish Highlands attracted me to this book. With the promise of a study of relationships between a successful business woman and her estranged daughters, I pushed forward finding a well told story. The plot was well developed with believable characters. Throw in a little sex and romance and you have a good read for a wintry day. A few facts about wintry Scotland makes it even more interesting.

This was an enjoyable yet predictable story. Although the mother's issues I did not guess all the rest followed the typical storyline. However I knew that going in. I was looking for a light easy Christmas read and this one day delivered.

I loved this book and in so many different aspects of it, that it is hard to remember them all. But, I think the thing that will always remain with me is the in-depth, vivid, warm descriptions of the characters and how each is woven into the story-line with such honesty. It does not matter if it is "woman to woman", warm talk or the description of the reindeer herd; all endearing. Please, do yourself a huge favor and buy this book, ASAP!

It a story that lets you know that it's never too late to change your life, even if it takes a conk on the head to get the ball rolling.

I hated it. This is not good writing. It’s like watching a cheesy corny Christmas movie from studio universal or hallmark. It’s an easy read, but completely predictable and full of nice, kind, super successful characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming and Christmassy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 17, 2021
Samantha and Ella were sisters, there was only 10 months between them and they were close. They’d always been close and Samantha was always looking out for her younger sister.

Samantha ran her own winter holiday company which was a fantastic success and had the idea to build a holiday in a magnificent house in Scotland. The owner wanted her to visit for Christmas with her family and come up with a plan.

Ella was a stay at home mum to her daughter Tabs. She’d been a teacher until she had her daughter and loved her job but wanted to spend time with Tabs.

Gayle ran a very successful consultancy business and had written books and won awards. She was practical and did things that needed to be done. That is until her accident, then things swam through her mind and realised it was time to change, time to push forward and make amends for past mistakes. Could it be done or was it 5 years too late?

I’ve not read too many Christmassy books but I liked the look of this one and I really wasn’t disappointed. It was heartwarming and lovely and the description of the huge house in snowy Scotland made me want to pack up and take my family there for Christmas. I think I’ll be looking into more by this author as it was a lovely festive book that was easy to read and hard to tear myself away from.
