Prizzi's Honor Kindle Edition
Charley Partanna works as a hitman for the Prizzis, New York’s most dangerous crime family. When he meets Irene Walker, an LA-based tax consultant, it’s pretty much love at first sight.
But Irene also moonlights as a hit woman—and had a hand in a big-money heist in Vegas. Now Charley has been told that she’s got to go. Faced with divided loyalties, he must make a choice—between the only family he’s ever known and the woman he loves.
A New York Times Notable Book and made into an award-winning film, Prizzi’s Honor is a dark, rollicking read from an “old pro at mixing satire with suspense” (The New York Times).

- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2019Well written! Powerful and Compelling! Richard Condon could give Mario Puzzo a run for his money. Now that I've read the book I have to see the movie with Jack Nicholson. I doubt it can be as good as the book. I also need to find out what else Richard Condon has written.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 25, 2014If you saw the 1985 movie, you know what you are getting into. The marriage of two hit-men (one male, one female) leads to "complications." Set in a mafia "family" (related both by blood and by association), there is humor in the absurdity of the characters. It's like the more humorous moments in the Sopranos or the guilty pleasures of a Hiaasen tale. Mayhem, stupidity, loyalty, and humor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb
A brilliant classic. It is hard to describe this novel adequately. It is brilliantly written giving a real feeling of the way things worked in the New York underworld.
